Này là cách kính sợ Chúa...

11 Hỡi các con, hãy đến nghe ta; Ta sẽ dạy các con sự kính sợ Đức Giê-hô-va. 12 Ai là người ưa thích sự sống, và mến ngày lâu dài để hưởng phước lành? 13 Khá giữ lưỡi mình khỏi lời ác, Và môi mình khỏi nói sự dối gạt. 14 Hãy tránh sự ác, và làm điều lành, Hãy tìm kiếm sự hòa bình, và đeo đuổi sự ấy.

IV. Áp dụng
Kính lạy Đức Chúa Trời: Con cảm ơn Chúa đã chỉ cho con thấy rõ những lợi ích của một đời sống kính sợ Chúa. Sự kính sợ Chúa đem đến nhiều ngày lâu dài và phước hạnh trong cuộc sống. Con cảm ơn Chúa về những kinh nghiệm do Đa-vít chia sẻ trong đời sống kính sợ Ngài của ông--ấy là kiềm chế sự phát biểu của mình, bác bỏ sự mời gọi của điều ác, làm điều lành, tìm kiếm sự hòa bình, và vun xới sự thuận hòa. Con cảm ơn Chúa Giê-su đã đem con đến điểm này để nhắc con về sự bình an mà Chúa ban cho con (Giăng 14:27). Lạy Chúa! Xin giúp con nói năng hòa bình, làm sự hòa bình, và bảo tồn sự hòa bình mà con đã được ban cho để sống một cuộc sống phước hạnh nơi trần thế này. Lạy Chúa! Hôm nay con cầu nguyện cho có ai đó chẳng những sẽ vui nhận sự bình an từ Chúa không thôi mà còn nhận Ngài nữa là Chúa Bình An và là nguồn an bình. Điều này để sống phước hạnh trong đời này và dẫn đến sự sống đời đời trong Chúa. Amen

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me clearly the benefits of living a life fearing the Lord. There are many good days that go with it in this life. I thank You for the experiences from David's own life in showing his fear of You and respect for You--controlling verbal expression, rejecting the inviting evil, doing good, seeking peace, and cultivating peace. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your peace that You are giving me (John 14:27). O Lord! Please help me to speak peace, to do peace, and to hold on to the peace that is given to me to live a good life here on earth. O Lord! Today I pray that someone will not only accept peace from You but also accept You as the Prince of Peace and the source of peace. This is to live a good life here on earth that leads to an eternal life in You. Amen

Cám ơn Chúa Ngài đã đến đem lại sự hòa thuận cùng Đức Chúa Trời và Ngài đi đã để lại sự bình an, từ Đức Thánh Linh (Lu ca 2:13; Giăng 27:14). Cám ơn Chúa khi lòng con bình an, mỗi ngày con nhận thêm sức mới từ Chúa, nhìn thấy những sai phạm nhiều lắm từ quá khứ qua lời nói, con ăn năn về điều nầy bởi đem lòng kính sợ Chúa! Xin giúp con mỗi ngày bước lên chốn cao hơn trong sự kính sợ Ngài, và lòng từ bỏ điều ác, tìm kiếm sự hòa bình trong CHúa! Amen!

ReplyDeleteThe Bible teaches us that to fear the Lord is to recognize God for who He is: holy, almighty, righteous, pure, all-knowing, all-powerful and all-wise. When we regard God correctly, we gain a clearer picture of ourselves: sinful, weak, frail, and needy. When we recognize who God is and who we are, we will fall at God's feet in humble respect. Only then will God show us how to choose His way.
The Bible often connects the fear of the Lord (love and reverence for Him) with obedience. "Fear God and keep his commandments" (Ecclesiastes 12:13b); Jesus said, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching" (John 14:23a). Reverence includes obeying God in the way one speaks and the way one treats others.
Jesus teaches in Matthew 7:12 - So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Paul teaches in 1 Thessalonians 5:14-18 - And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 15 See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Paul also teaches in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 - First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Dear all-knowing Father, we humble ourselves at Your feet in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You with gratitude for teaching us through your Word. It's all about You, Your Son and Your Holy Spirit.
