Kính lạy Đức Chúa Trời: Con cảm ơn Chúa đã chỉ cho con bài học qua người khác rằng được thấy sau khi được nghe sẽ có những kết quả tốt--như trong trường hợp của Gióp và của vua Ê-xê-chia (Job 42:5-6; 2 Các Vua 20:5). Điều này cũng đã làm vững lòng tin của dân sự Ngài về cái thành của Chúa trong lời Kinh Thánh hôm nay. Con cảm ơn Chúa Giê-su đã đem con đến điểm này để nhắc con về lời Chúa dạy cũng liên quan đến sự được thấy (Mát-thi-ơ 5:16). Cái nghe cần phải được kiểm chứng bằng cái thấy! Lạy Chúa! Xin giúp con áp dụng bài học này vào trong lối sống của con hôm nay để người khác có thể thấy được phúc âm qua hành động của con chứ không phải chỉ nghe từ môi miệng con mà thôi. Amen

Dear Lord God: I thank You for pointing out to me from the learning of others that seeing after hearing produces good results --certainty for Job and king Hezekiah (Job 42:5; 2 Kg 20:5). It also did reinforce the belief of Your people in the city of God in today's Scripture. I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your teaching regarding the importance of seeing as well (Matthew 5:16). Hearing must be confirmed by seeing! O Lord! Please help me put this learning into my living today so that people can see the Gospel in my doing, not just in my telling. Amen

Cám ơn Chúa vì Lời hằng sống của Ngài đến với con mỗi ngày qua tôi tớ Chúa! Xin Chúa giúp con, đọc, nghe, cho dù có thấy hay chưa và làm theo, bởi đức tin từ nơi Chúa (Hê 11:1), hầu cuộc sống của con được Chúa cứu, có thể đem đến ơn ích cho nhiều người qua đời sống và sự hầu việc Chúa trong những ngày còn lại quí báu của con. Xin chúc phước trên sức khỏe và sự hầu việc Chúa của tôi tớ Ngài đang phụ trách chương trình! Amen!

ReplyDeleteThe Bible teaches two examples where people heard Jesus' words, but did not believe until they actually saw with their eyes the results and evidence of what Jesus was talking about:
John 11:32: - 32 So when Mary came to the place where Jesus was, she saw Him and fell at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
John 11:39-45: - 39 Jesus said, “Remove the stone.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days.” 40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” 41 So they removed the stone. And Jesus raised His eyes, and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 But I knew that You always hear Me; nevertheless, because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.” 43 And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 Out came the man who had died, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.” 45 Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary, and saw what He had done, believed in Him.
In this first example, Lazarus' sister Martha heard what Jesus had said that her brother was only sleeping. After the miracle, Marthat saw that her brother Lazarus was truly alive.
John 20:24-28 - 24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, who was called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”26 Eight days later His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be to you.” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Place your finger here, and see My hands; and take your hand and put it into My side; and do not continue in disbelief, but be a believer.” 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
In this second example, Thomas heard that his Lord Jesus had risen from the dead, but would not believe unless he saw and touched Jesus' wounds. Eventually Thomas believed and confessed Jesus to be his Lord and his God!
Dear Heavenly, Holy, Loving, Gracious, Merciful, Saving and Providing Father, thank you for teaching us from your Holy Word that it is so important to see after having heard. Cause us to offer Your Word to others
