7 Chẳng có người nào chuộc được anh em mình, Hoặc đóng giá chuộc người nơi Đức Chúa Trời, 8 Hầu cho người được sống mãi mãi, Chẳng hề thấy sự hư nát.

IV. Áp dụng
Kính lạy Đức Chúa Trời: Con cảm ơn Chúa đã chỉ cho con thấy rằng đích thật là một sự tuyệt vọng khôn cùng vì không có người nào có thể cứu chuộc được người nào khác. Hậu quả là sự chết đời đời chẳng những đến với thân xác nhưng mà còn đến với linh hồn mình nữa. Người không thể cứu người. Đó là một định luật--nhân loại không thể cứu chuộc lẫn nhau. Nhưng Chúa có thể cứu người và Ngài rất sẵn sàng cho sự cứu chuộc (c. 15). Con cảm ơn Chúa Giê-su đã đem con đến điểm này để nhắc con rằng chẳng những Ngài có khả năng cứu thế--và Chúa đã làm rồi--mà Chúa còn chịu trả cái giá vô cùng cao, ấy là chính mạng sống của Ngài (Mát-thi-ơ 20:28). Lạy Chúa! Xin giúp con áp dụng bài học này vào trong lối sống của con hôm nay để con sống một đời sống xứng hiệp với một người đã được chuộc. Con cũng xin cho có người nào đó hôm nay sẽ thôi ráng sức kiếm đủ phương tiện để trả cho giá chuộc chính mình bởi vì sẽ không bao giờ đủ. Con xin cho người đó chấp nhận rằng giá chuộc Chúa đã trả xong đầy trọn cho mình rồi. Bước kế tiếp là bắt đầu sống thỏa vui trong Ngài. Amen

or give to God the price of his life,
8 8 for the ransom of their life is costly
and can never suffice,

* Question #528: Could it be that hopeless when it is truly that no man can ransom another?
IV. Application
Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that it truly is that hopeless since no man can ransom another man. The result is death, everlastingly, not only to the physical body but also the spiritual soul. Man cannot save another man. That's the law--humanity cannot save each other. But God can save man and You are willing to (v. 15). I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me that not only can You save--and You did--but You also were willing to pay the extremely high cost, which was Your own life (Matthew 20:28). O Lord! Please help me put this learning into my living today to live a life worthy of a redeemed. I also pray that someone today will stop trying to come up with the payment for the ransom of self as it can never suffice. May that person accept the fact that You have already paid the full payment for him or her. The next step is starting to live rejoicefully in You. Amen

Lạy Chúa qua bài học sáng nay, Lời Ngài nhắc con trong Công Vụ 4:12 "Chẳng có sự cứu rỗi trong đấng nào khác; vì ở dưới trời, chẳng có danh nào khác ban cho loài người, để chúng ta phải nhờ đó mà được cứu" và "Giăng 14:6 "Đức Chúa Jêsus đáp: “Ta là đường đi, chân lý và sự sống. Chẳng bởi Ta thì không ai được đến với Cha". Xin giúp con thấu hiểu Lời Ngài để vững tin và qua đó con có thể giới thiệu cho người chưa tin về con đường cứu rỗi của Ngài đã ưu ái dành cho nhân loại, trước khi thời ân điển chấm dứt! Amen!

ReplyDeleteOne sees in Isaiah, an example of physical ransom: Isaiah 43:3 - For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Here, the Lord God of Israel paid a ransom to Egypt, two countries, Cush and Seba, to free Israel.
Let's look at 1 Timothy 2:5-7 - 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
In this passage from Timothy, one sees how Jesus gave himself as a ransom for all men procuring the pardon of sins and the redemption of the sinner from eternal punishment. Only Jesus can give this ransom, His life, for a man. No human can do this.
Thank you Jesus for dying on the Cross for the redemption of our sins and offering Your precious self as our ransom.
Matthew 26:39 - And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.” (Gethsemane Love)
Luke 23:34a - And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Calvary Love)
Dear Good, Loving, Gracious, Kind Heavenly Father, we thank you for Gethsemane Love and Calvary Love as our ransom and redemption.
