1 Đức Chúa Trời ôi! xin thương xót con, xin thương xót con, Vì linh hồn con nương náu nơi Chúa! Phải, con nương náu mình dưới bóng cánh của Chúa, Cho đến chừng tai họa đã qua.

Kính lạy Đức Chúa Trời: Con cảm ơn Chúa đã chỉ cho con thấy rằng mỹ tính thương xót không buộc chỉ là bản tánh của Ngài không thôi, nó còn được bày tỏ ra trong hành động nữa. Bởi thương xót, Chúa đã không lìa bỏ dân sự Ngài cho dù họ có lìa bỏ Chúa; Bởi thương xót, Chúa đã không hủy diệt họ cho dù họ vẫn cứ cứng đầu, ngoan cố bất vâng phục; Bởi thương xót, Chúa đã không quên đi lời hứa Chúa đã lập ngay cả với cha ông của họ từ lâu đời (Phục 4:31). Lạy Chúa! Chúa thật quá tuyệt vời và đầy lòng thương xót qua hành động! Con cảm ơn Chúa Giê-su đã đem con đến điểm này để nhắc con về sự thương xót qua hành động của Ngài--Chúa đã chữa lành tất cả những người bệnh, từng người một, cho dù lúc mặt trời đã lặn báo hiệu một ngày dài của sự hầu việc đã qua (Lưu-ca 4:40). Lạy Chúa! Xin giúp con biết áp dụng bài học này vào trong lối sống của con trong ngày hôm nay để bày tỏ sự thương xót qua hành động. Con cũng xin cho có người nào đó hôm nay đang cần được sự tha thứ hay sự phục hồi hay sự quan tâm sẽ chạy đến cùng Ngài--là Cha thương xót. Xin Cha chăm sóc cho người anh em hay chị em đó. Hôm nay. Amen

Dear Lord God: I thank You for showing me that being merciful does not remain to be Your character only, it also displays in actions. Being merciful, You did not leave Your people although they left You; being merciful, You did not destroy them although they were stubbornly disobedient; being merciful, You did not forget the promises You made even long ago with their forefathers (Deut 4:31). O God! How wonderful and merciful You truly are! I thank You, Lord Jesus, for taking me to this point to remind me of Your being merciful in action--healing each and every one of the sick even when the sun has set announcing the end of a full missional day (Luke 4:40). O Lord! Please help me put this learning into my living today to show mercy in my actions. I also pray for someone today who may need forgiveness or restoration to come to You--the merciful Father. Please care for that brother or sister. Today. Amen

Cám ơn Chúa, Ngài đến để cứu kẻ biết mình có tội và nhận ơn thương xót của Chúa, mặc dầu con không đáng nhận. Cám ơn Chúa trong Ngài "mọi sự cũ đều qua đi" ... (II COr 5:17), chỉ sự nhân từ bởi lòng thương xót Chúa còn lại đến đời đời (I Sử 16:41b; Thi 86:12,13a). Cầu xin Chúa cho nhiều người, trong đó có những người thân yêu của con cảm biết sự thương xót đến từ Ngài qua nghịch cảnh, hầu vui mừng trở lại cùng Ngài! Amen!
ReplyDeleteAnswer to Question #536: The Bible says, God in His mercy does not give what our sins deserve. He limits the extent of pain. He heals. He restrains evil and holds back sin. He makes His gospel known in places where people have turned their backs on Him. God seeks those who are lost, alone, hurting and in need. He forgives and restores those who repent and turn to Him in faith.

Psalm 78:38 - Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath. (NIV)
